The high-voltage connector unit “eCON” is a solution for safely providing electric energy for attachment devices of any kind. The central element here is the interface developed and defined by the AEF (Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation) between the electric system on the tractor (700V DC POWERBUS) and the attachment devices. The AEF advocates improved cross-manufacturer compatibility of electronic and electric components in agricultural machines. A central topic of their work is the introduction of international electronic standards. The developed interface is currently being defined for global applicability in the ISO standard 23316.
With the eCON, we are building on the AEF interface, offering a complete solution tailored to the technical and geometric requirements of the customer. The standard series eCON is equipped with the ISOBUS (ISO 11783), the agricultural data bus application for communication between the tractor and the attachments. For system safety purposes, pre-charging units, switches, insulation monitors and performance measurement units are also supplemented. All components are integrated into a compact, application-optimized housing. Like all our powerMELA products, the eCON is characterized by its field-tested robustness.

The eCON has already been used successfully in our in-house demonstrator vehicle “SymonE” as well as in customer applications.
