powerMELA SYSTEM SAFETY
The high intermediate circuit voltage of max. 800 VDC for the electrification of mobile machines also requires components which guarantee the system safety. System-specific parameters such as the intermediate circuit voltage and the insulation resistance are permanently monitored through measurements. If deviations occur, remedial measures are initiated. The STW insulation monitor is used to monitor the insulation resistance. This features a new measuring procedure which supplies measuring results in a quicker, simpler way. In addition, it can determine the leakage capacitance in a system.
Overvoltages in the intermediate circuit are prevented by the brake chopper. If a voltage threshold is exceeded, the brake chopper connects high load resistances which transform the excess energy into heat and dissipate this heat via oil cooling.
All the components for system safety are available either in a standalone variant or can be adapted to the specific customer application and integrated into STW system products.
CASE STUDIES
We are proud of our products and solutions, but they really reveal their true colors when used by our customers. Whether digitalized, automated or electrified – mobile machines repeatedly delight with new innovations, in particular in terms of their user-friendliness, reliability and ability to integrate into work processes. Thanks to our customers, we are delighted to present a small selection here.
STW USPs
Our objective is to support our customers in all aspects concerning the digitalization, automation and electrification of their mobile machines. We consider the entire machine lifecycle and develop our STW product and service portfolio in alignment with this lifecycle. The ECO system, an open and holistic approach, facilitates the cross-topic integration of STW solutions. Furthermore, our product approach facilitates functional expansion through partner offers and hybrid, integrated products based on our system module.
