The slope assistant supports the controlled and straight driving on slopes, for example when driving through embankments or when driving up and down the mountains in straight or diagonal direction. Through active compensation of the respective drift, the vehicle stays on the desired track, which makes steering the machine a lot easier. A gyro sensor, which registers the machine angle and reacts to changes in direction, makes this technology possible. By processing the gathered values on an electronic control unit, the slope assistant is able to keep the tracked machine moving in a straight line on a slope.
