A strong partner for sustainable agricultural technology solutions

The demands placed on agricultural machinery manufacturers are becoming increasingly complex. Their machines should work with high precision and have as little impact as possible on the environment during operation. Precision farming is the goal; as far as possible, each crop should be processed individually according to its needs. As a one-stop solution partner, STW offers the appropriate hardware, software and development support for agricultural machinery manufacturers to meet these requirements with performance and functional reliability.

Proof of Concept: Distributed computing power and 5G edge infrastructure for environment monitoring.

Edge computing with 5G, and storage and computing power in base stations, enable effective environment monitoring in mobile work processes. The combination utilizes the advantages of data pre-processing on the machine, additional data sources from stationary infrastructure and AI to build an overall picture in real time. STW developed a concept study, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Vodafone, demonstrating the benefits of such distributed computing architectures.
