Kaufbeuren, 4 May 2020 – On 29 April 2020 the Kaufbeuren-based company Sensor-Technik Wiedemann GmbH (STW) parted with its Managing Director Dr. Michael Schmitt.
The family business, which was founded in 1985, will be managed until further notice by Christophe de Bary, the former Commercial Director for Finance and IT. Effective immediately, de Bary has the overall responsibility for the company.
The Wiedemann shareholder family intends to continue the dynamic, yet continuity-focused development of recent years. As a strong and consolidated family business, STW will master the challenges of the coming months with the joint efforts of the shareholders and their experienced and motivated employees. In doing so, it will continue to take advantage of the opportunities of an increasingly networked, automated and electrified world in order to emerge from the global crisis stronger than before.
Note on the current situation
At STW, the currently unclear and critical situation due to the Coronavirus pandemic is of course viewed with great concern. However, long before the current crisis, STW developed a service which reduces the default risks to a minimum and guarantees long-term availability of STW components through component and obsolescence management. Therefore, STW has not experienced any economically induced delivery difficulties yet and is able to provide its customers with a service that is as reliable as before despite adapted working conditions.
