A fundamental basis for autonomously working machines is already being created today with innovative technologies. STW has won an important research partner with the Fraunhofer Institute for Transportation and Infrastructure Systems IVI in Dresden for the collaborative R&D project “Machine Automation Lab“. On 11 July 2019, an event was held to celebrate the cooperation, at which the research group’s logo was presented to the public in a symbolic unveiling ceremony.

Over the coming years, the partners will be intensively addressing themselves to the research and development of autonomous machines within the scope of the joint research group “Machine Automation Lab”. Some of the projects planned are, amongst others, autonomous robots, an autonomous depot and highly automated working processes.
