STW supports the VDMA's "Machines in Construction 4.0" working group

Three years ago, the VDMA launched Machines in Construction (MiC) 4.0, an international working group that aims to promote digitalization in the construction industry. STW supports the working group as an expert in the automation and digitalization of construction machinery.

With the founding of the working group at bauma 2019, the VDMA (German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association) responded to demands from the industry for a coordinated and collaborative path towards the digitization of construction sites and construction processes. The initiative now has more than 100 member companies working on manufacturer independent standards for machine communication.

In the future STW will also be a member, as communication standards are essential to the digitization and automation solutions that the Kaufbeuren-based company develops and produces. There will be a coordinated awareness campaign for MiC at bauma 2022 in Munich, and STW has joined the campaign. Interested trade fair visitors can find out more about the efforts and results of the working group at STW's stand 225 in hall A2.
