STW WITH MANY INNOVATIONS AT THE SPS / IPC / DRIVES

From 24 to 26 November, Sensor-Technik Wiedemann (STW) will be presenting numerous product and system innovations at the SPS / IPC / Drives in Nuremberg. The solutions for the automation branch include power electrification, automation, data management and connectivity with focus on mobile applications and the realisation of “Industrie 4.0” systems.

STW’s diverse fields of competence range from thin-film technology in sensors via power electrification and battery management systems right up to control and operating units for safety-relevant applications, protocols and cloud-based data management systems. The innovations developed from these will be presented on two columns.

On the automation column, the first versions of the STW-own interACT display generation, a new control unit in the ESX family (ESX-3CM) and central electrics, created in collaboration with the company ERNI, will be presented. On one side of the column, visitors can experience the world of STW digiSENS measurement systems and sensors. Finally, the fourth side displays the concept of the STW powerMELA Battery Management System BMS.

The use of the powerMELA BMS is demonstrated in a starter kit with an HV battery and powerMELA
electric drive (motor). On an operating and display panel which contains an interACT display and ESX control units, the visitor can discover for themselves the optimum charging method for the battery during power drain.

The second column is dedicated to the topic of data management and connectivity. Here the CONNEX on-board modules, such as the TC3G, are displayed. Supplied with recorded data or in live mode, both solutions for machine monitoring, such as the Vehicle Data System (VDS) by STW, as well as solutions for data and process management are tested which point the way to “Industrie 4.0”.

You can find us in Hall 7, Booth 150. We are looking forward to your visit!
