The video explains how a CAN communication between PC and controller is set up and put into operation. The function of the interface is tested with the help of openSYDE and a sample application is flashed to the controller as a test.

The video is aimed at developers who want to program a controller from STW.

Course Content

  • CAN components
    • Connecting the PEAK CAN USB interface for the PC with cable set and terminating resistors correctly
    • Obtaining and installing software drivers for the PEAK CAN USB Interface
    • Complete commissioning of the hardware and software of the PEAK CAN USB Interface
  • Test the CAN communication
    • Execute device configuration with openSYDE via the CAN interface
    • Flash the controller with a sample application
    • Switch dashboard online in openSYDE and observe a measurement
